Our Workrooms

Our Making Process:
As a brand, we approach our design process with sustainability strategies in mind, always. Our design ideology puts function before form, quality over quantity and slow over fast. But this doesn’t make our beautifully crafted, women’s clothing any less wearable. In fact, the trans-seasonal, wearability of our collections, is what makes us so special.
We have implemented a circular loop in the manufacturing of our product to create circularity in the supply chain, and our production cycle incubates a sustainable and ethical supply chain. Our collections are designed in Australia and manufactured in a Balinese factory where sustainable resource management and positive working conditions are of paramount importance. Our garments are hand made with natural fibres and organic fabrics that can be traced right back to their raw form, where they were grown, spun and produced.

Our Ethical Responsibility
We take our ethical responsibility seriously. And part of that ethical responsibility includes treating people fairly throughout every part of our design and production process. We are passionate about equality and fair working conditions at House of Lacuna, and we work meticulously with communities that share the same values of fair pay, excellent working conditions, and environmentally-focused production practices that strive to adhere to the universal Sustainable Development Goals that we support. We take responsibility for our impact on the environment and community, and we work hard to ensure that our processes use minimal energy and water resources while preventing our workers from being exposed to anything toxic. We promote community representation and engage in ongoing partnerships to ensure that our mission of creating a more sustainable and ethical future in fashion can proceed.
Our Team
Our team is small but mighty. We are a collective of creative and passionate individuals that strive to continually innovate on all things small business and building a fashion apparel brand that can make a positive difference to the world. We consider every person involved throughout every stage of our supply chain, and ensure that ethical and sustainable practises are in place to support this chain.
The development of our garments from concept to completion is a thoughtful process with our team of makers, sewers, cutters and printers that can take up to 6 – 12 months. There is so much love and appreciation for everyone behind-the-scenes at House of Lacuna, and we hope that it shows in our pieces.
